The flag of Evenkya metropolitan region is a square cloth? That consists of three equal stripes: the upper one is blue, central - white, and lower - of a dark-blue colour. These colours symbolize Polar Night and Polar Day. There is the stylized image of the traditional evenkian carpet - kumalan - in the centre of the flag. Kumalan typifies sun.

Evenkya metropolitan region's coat-of-arms is a conceptual image of shamanistic tambourine with a mythological bird - white diver - in the centre.
The inner background of the coat-of-arms is divided horizontally into 2 parts: the upper one is yellow and the lower is dark-blue. There is a red semicircle with escallops that symbolizes sun.
Tambourine is a symbol of the Univers, where the gosts-assistants, who keep out Evenks, are gathered together.
Along the horizontal centerline from East to West (from Dawn to Sunset) flows the river that, according to Evenk's Belief, connects the living and ancestors, Past and Present.
The diver itself, flying to the Sunset, is nothing else but All-Father, protector of Evenks.
