Yaroslav Malashiy

Biography

Yaroslav Malashiy was born on the 28th of February 1959 in a settlement Rozvadiv, Lvov-region.

Graduated from the Tyumen industrial institute with the specialization "piping mechanical engineer".

Since 1978 Yaroslav Malashiy has been working in Evenkya. First as a diesel-operator in oil and gas searching enterprise. Then - as an engineer, chief engineer. At the same time he became a secretary of a local Komsomol unit.

In 1986 he was appointed to a regional Commitee instructor and in a year, in 1987, headed the Baikit regional People's oversight committee.

Since 1990 - managing director of a community facility in Baikit.

In 1997 Yaroslav Malashiy was elected as a Suglan deputy (Suglan - is a representative body of Evenkya Autunomous District)

In 2005 he joined the Governor Boris Zolotarev's team and was appointed to a Governor's substitute.

19 November 2005 Region Counsil of People's Deputies validated Yaroslav Malashiy as Chief Executive of Evenkya metropolitan region.

Married, has 2 children.
