Leaf-bearing forest occupies more than 80% of territory. Pine forest and cedar
forest prevail on the watershed of Angara and Podkamenaya Tunguska. Light-coniferous
forest which consists of larch and pine is situated between Nijnaya and Podkamenaya
Tunguska. To the north from Nijnaya Tunguska leaf-bearing forest turns into sparse
growth of trees and forest-tundra. Woodlands occupy more than 70% of the territory
of Area. Forest fund (1+3 gr.) occupies territory of 73168,6 thousand hectares,
calculation wood-cutting area forms about 8 mln.m3. 50 thousand m3 of wood are
stored up annually for local needs. The area, which is covered by forest, makes
33915 thousand hectares, woodlands make 63,3%. Total wood reserve is 3657 mln.m3,
the part of burning (from the total forest area) is 0,077%, the part of glades
(from the total forest area) is 0,03%.

The area of forest plots (which are situated in the upper reaches of the Katanga-Tatere-Kata)
for long-term lease forms 2395 thousand hectares. Total reserve - 287234 thousand
m3, calculation wood-cutting area without cedar forestry - 2021 thousand m3,
including coniferous forestry - 1916 thousand m3, II species structure 4L4P1FSF1B.
Classification 1 Yz. Average reserve on 1 hectare - 184 m3.

The area of forest plots (which are situated on the watershed of Angara and
Podkamenaya Tunguska, upper reaches of the Kumonda) for long-term lease forms
867700 hectares.
Total reserve - 148362,4 thousand m3, calculation wood-cutting area - 70 thousand
m3, the species structure 6L1P1C1FSF1B+A; Classification 1 Y-z. Average reserve
on 1 hectare on main species: pine - 211 m3/hectare, fir tree - 132 m3/hectare,
larch - 200 m3, silver fir - 173 m3/hectare, cedar - 213 m3/hectare. Average
corpulence - 0,62.

The distance to the railway station "Karabula" is 200-220 km (motor
transport, "winter road").
Baikitsky forestry, Sulomaiskoye forestry.
There are forest plots for long-term lease which are situated in 80 km from
the mouth of the river P.Tunguska (up-stream). These plots are not in industrial
exploitation that's why they have not forest valuation characteristics. Forest
which was left to stand too long and ripe forest (especially pine and larch)
prevail in this place (settlement Sulomay, on left and right banks of the river
P.Tunguska).
The distance to the station "Lesosibirsk" is 400 km (water transport,
up-stream the river Yenisey), the distance to the sea port "Igarka"
is 860-900 km.
Evenkiya forestry, Tutonchanskoye forestry.
Unarranged forests which are possible for exploitation are situated in the
distance of 200-260 km from settlement Turuhansk (up-stream the river N.Tunguska).
The reserves of practical wood are lower in this place, but the plots are situated
not far from sea port "Igarka" (about 600-650 km), which is more convenient
for removal. In perspective it is possible to make the production of "stained"
larch assortment in this region. Natural unrunning reservoirs will be used for
this purpose. "Stained" larch can be used as raw material for furniture
production, although there is no any analogue in the world practice. Also larch
can be used as raw material for the production of "Kordovaya" cellulose.
