There is a regional program "Building, reconstruction and modernization of energy supply system, Housing Maintenance and Utililies Complex and Transport of Evenkya municipal Region" in EMR.

In accordance to this program measures of technical upgrading are systematically realized. These measures are taken in order to reach the maximum economical effect and real heat quality improvement of houses and social assets.

Practically the whole territory of Evenkya is in severe climatic zones. That's why a making ready to the heating season ends in summer. Heating season is on in August.

On the whole there are macroeconomical aims proposed to Housing Maintenance and Utilities Complex: integration of energy saving technologies, deep conversion integrative utilization of energy resources and use of local resources.

In 2007 according to the program of building, reconstruction and modernization of HMUC oil-processing enterprise in Baikit was conversed from experimental to industrial production.

Boiler houses in Vanavara, Baikit and Tura have been reconstructed. Electric power transmission lines were stretched in Vanavara and Tura. New modern boilers were settled in boiler house "Borskaya" in Tura. Moreover they made the complete modernization of the boiler house.

By the way a new boiler was built up in Nidym. After that the central heating in the settlement is supposed to be built back.

As for the use of "local energy resources" - the exploitation of the coal deposit "Korablik" is going on. Boiler houses in Tura are supplied by this coal. That means the independence from the outer supplies. There is the same perspective for Tutonchany in the years coming .

Also the mini-TPP, working on local coal, is going to be built. According to the specialists research it helps to take down the charges several times.

The strategic coal reserve was formed in Tura this year. 14583 thous. rubles were included in the regional budget for this aim. The strategic coal reserve (4744 tonnes) was formed by means of the coal from the local coal deposit "Korablik".

In 2008 the program "Building, reconstruction and modernization of energy supply system, Housing Maintenance and Utililies Complex and Transport of Evenkya municipal Region" is supposed to cost about 170 Mio rubles.
